Before becoming home to The Call newspaper in 1950, the site of The Montgomery was used as the U.S. Quartermaster’s stables during the early 1900s. The historic structure was converted to residences in 2006. Situated near the South of Market and Financial District neighborhoods, The Montgomery is a stunning mix of vintage and modern styles, featuring a timeless exterior with contemporary modern interiors.

  • The Mark Company took over marketing and sales in August 2007 from another firm, revitalizing a stalled project in a challenging market
  • Repositioned the building and devised new marketing, including broker outreach and brand partnerships, that focused on the building’s historical relationship to San Francisco and its exceptional location for an exciting urban lifestyle
  • Successfully developed a long term parking strategy with a nearby garage, overcoming the strong objection of only 25% of the units having on-site parking
  • Integral in creating both the unit mix and floor plan design, balancing buyer preferences with efficiency, in an historic office building with challenging outlooks on three narrow alleys
